~ Why Do They Do It. ~

There's something that Many people Do on a Regular basis, yet the Vast Majority of people don't even know 'Why' they Do it.

If they were asked 'Why', they would probably give a Snap Reaction answer without actually Thinking about it.

So, what is this Thing that has 'Taken Over' Many peoples own Intelligence to the point that they Do something without knowing 'Why' they Do it ?

Here it is:

~ Why Do people Cut their Grass ?

Most peoples Snap Reaction answer would be 'Because it Needs cutting'. 

But that doesn't actually answer the question properly.

Because 'Why does Grass 'Need' cutting ? 

The Truth is, it Doesn't.

Grass is the 'Only' Plant out of All of God's Creations that people 'Cut' on a Regular basis and is Never Allowed to Grow into it's Full Potential that God Created it to Be.

Pause and Think about that for a moment.

The Truth is, God did 'Not' Create Grass to only ever Grow to about an inch tall, and 'Every' stem of Grass to all be the 'Same' height.

God is a Lot more 'Creative' than that.

 When Grass is Allowed to Grow into what God Created it to Be, it is Very Beautiful & Interesting.
A Lot more Interesting than a Bald, Flat, Empty green Space.

~ So, Why Do people Cut their Grass ?

There are quite a few reasons Why.

 ~ The most obvious is because a Lot of people have the Attitude of 
'That's what you do'.
They see 'Other People' Do it, so they Do it.

Many years ago my Wife & I noticed that Every time we hear someone cutting their Grass, not long after someone else will cut their Grass. Then shortly after that someone else will cut theirs, and it goes on and on.
It happens Regularly. People just 'Copy' each other.

Most people would Not have even thought about cutting their Grass, but just because they hear or see someone else doing it, they Suddenly think that 'Their' Grass needs cutting.

~ Another reason 'Why' people cut their Grass is because they have been told 'Lies' about Grass Cutting.

There are Many Adverts, TV programs etc that tell people it's Good for the Health of the Grass to cut it.

That's Not True.
It's obviously Not Good for the Health of Anything to Never be Allowed to 'Grow' into what God Created it to Be.

So Why do people say that ? 

Well think about 'Who' are the people that say it.
Most of them are Connected in some way to Businesses that 'Sell' products for Cutting Grass such as Lawn Mowers etc. Or they promote the So Called 'Grass Care' products like Grass Feed, which is only actually needed because the Grass is Always being cut and Never has the opportunity to establish its Own Natural System of 'Grass Health' that God Created it to have.

Grass has been around a Long time before Lawn Mowers were invented, so God knew how to Created Grass to be able to 'Be Healthy' without people cutting it.

Many people say it's Good to cut Grass just so they can Sell there Products.

Another Lie that Tricks people into cutting their Grass is that people say you have to keep Grass short to prevent Ticks.

Well the Truth is Ticks can live in all lengths of Grass, as well as other Plants.

You can also get Ticks from dogs, but people don't 'Cut' the fur off their dogs just incase they get Ticks.

~ One of the Main reasons 'Why' people cut their Grass is because they say it looks Untidy if you let it Grow.

But that's just a Society based saying and it's Not True.

The Truth is, when Grass is Allowed to Grow into God's Creation, it will become a 'Mini Meadow'. 
And most people would agree that Meadows are Very Beautiful.

When Grass is Allowed to Grow, the Grass itself is Very Beautiful with Delicate & Fluffy features.
Most people look at a patch of Grass and all they See is Green Grass.
But when You 'Look Intently', You will See Individual Grasses that Glisten in the Sunlight, and Lot's of Variety of Shapes, Sizes, and Different Shades of Green that all Create a 'Beautiful Tapestry of Living Creations'. 

And when Grass is Allowed to Grow, it Creates an environment where many varieties of Wonderful & Beautiful 'Wild Flowers' Grow Together, which in effect is what a 'Meadow' is.

It's Very 'Awe Inspiring' to see the Wonders of God's Amazing 'Creativity' as they Grow.
And You can Enjoy it in Your Own Garden.

~ Some people say they cut their Grass because they want the Space for a 'Play Area' or an 'Entertaining Area' etc.

In that situation it might be Better if they had something like 'Astro Turf' or the 'Rubber Flooring' that's specifically designed for that type of thing.     

It would save the people the 'Hassle' of needing to keep cutting their Grass, and it would be a Lot Better for Nature.
Because Every time someone cuts their Grass, the Blades on the Lawn Mower Kills Thousands of Harmless Insects.
The Insects obviously don't know the Grass is going to be cut, so they Create their 'Homes' and start to Live their Lives. But then a Gigantic Spinning thing appears over their 'Homes' and Destroys them.
If Astro Turf or Rubber Flooring was there instead, then the Insects would Not make their 'Homes' in it, and they would find somewhere Safe to 
'Set Up Their Homes'. 

These are just a few of the reasons 'Why' people Cut their Grass.

But Non of them answer the Bigger Question of 'Why did people Start cutting Grass in the first place' ?

God 'Did Not' intend Grass to be Cut on a regular basis to about an inch tall, and Never Allowed to Grow into it's Full Potential.

~ So 'Where did it all go Wrong' ? 

Well it's got a Lot to do with the word 'Lawn'. 

God 'Did Not' Create the 'Lawn', people did.

It's believed that the 'Lawn' first appeared around the 1500's, but nobody knows for certain when it was.

Before that, Grass just Grew how God Created it to Grow.

When people started Grazing their Animals (such as Sheep, Goats etc) on 'Common Ground' in Towns & Villages, the Grass obviously became Short because the Animals where Eating it as 'Food', which is one of the Main Reasons what God Created Grass for.

It's believed that around the 1500's, some Wealthy Business people wanted to Replicate the Short Grass within the Private Grounds of their Manor Houses and Castles.

Back then there no such thing as a 'Lawn Mower', so Cutting the Grass was a Very Labour Intensive thing to do, and therefore only the Very Wealthy could afford to have a 'Lawn'. 

Everybody Else 'Enjoyed' Living their Lives 'Without' a Lawn.

Over the years people also started to want Short Grass for 'Sports Games' such as Bowling, Cricket etc, and so 'Devices' started to be made for Cutting Grass.

But Everybody Else was still 'Happy' to Not have a 'Lawn'. 

In 1830 a 'Mechanical Lawn Mower' was invented that was a Simple Push Mechanism. There was No Engines or Motors used to cut the Grass.

These were still Expensive and most people either couldn't afford one, or they simply were 'Not Bothered' about having 'Short Grass'. They had far Better Things to Do with their Time than Cutting Grass.

Over time more and more 'Lawns' started appearing in peoples Gardens Replacing the Space that was once Thriving with 'Home Grown Food' and Beneficial areas for Nature to Live in Harmony with People.

The once Beautiful & Interesting Gardens were Replaced by Bald, Flat, Empty Green Spaces, called a 'Lawn'. 

It was only from the early to mid 1900's that 'Lawns' started to become a more Regular feature in people Gardens.

So the 'Lawn' is a Very Recent addition to peoples Gardens.

Yet Many people are now 'Obsessed' by them.

Some people can't bear it if the Grass 'Grows' more than about an inch tall. 
And some people 'Get Angry' if a Plant starts to 'Grow' in the 'Lawn'. 

Many people have become 'Addicted' to Cutting their Grass.

But it's a Very 'Unhealthy' Mindset.

Any form of 'Addiction' is Bad for Your Mind and Bad for Your Health.

One of the reasons 'Why' people cut their Grass is because they want to be 'In Control'. 

Grass and other Plants and Trees are an 'Easy Target' for people who want to 'Control' things. And many people Very Wrongly take out their 'Controlling Attitudes' on Nature.

But it's a Very Unhealthy way to Live.

God Created People to 'Be Part of Nature',
and to Live in 'Peace & Harmony' with Nature.

When You change Your 'Mindset' about Grass, and You view it as 'One of God's Beautiful Creations', then You will 'Enjoy' the Pleasures of watching it Grow, and the Excitement of Seeing God's Creativity 'Flourishing' right in front of Your Eyes.

 It's believed that there are over 11,000 known Varieties of Grass.

They include Grass used for 'Food' such as Wheat, Barley etc. 
Grass used for Animals 'Food' such as Hay, as well as all the Wild Grass on the Mountains and Fields that Wild Animals Eat. 
And the Ornamental Grasses such as Pampas Grass  and many varieties of Bamboo etc. 
As well as Many more.

The average 'Lawn' is made from a Mixture of around 12 varieties of Grass that people have Selected to make the 'Lawn'. 

When 'Lawn' Grass is Allowed to Grow, it can Grow anywhere between 6 inches and about 2 foot tall, depending on what varieties are in it.

And when Grass is left to 'Grow' properly how God Intended, it Creates the Beautiful 'Meadow' with Wonderful Flowers that are Very Interesting.

The longer 'Time' You Allow Your Grass to Grow, the more 'Interesting' it will become, as it Creates it's own Mini 'Eco System' where all the Grasses and Flowers Live in 'Harmonious Beauty'.

And it will Provide a 'Home' and an 'Adventure Area' for Many Wonderful and Interesting Insects to Enjoy Living their own Lives in Peace.

There are Many Benefits to Not cutting Your Grass. 
Here are just a few of them:

~ It will save You a Lot of money.
	Many people don't realise just how much they spend on their 'Lawn', but 		it All adds up, and it's money that could be spent on far Better things than 	cutting Grass.

  ~ It's obviously Very Good for Nature.
	Butterflies, Bees, and other Harmless Insects will 'Thank You' for not 			destroying their 'Home' and their 'Food source'. 

~ It's Good for 'Other People'.
	The Noise of Lawn Mowers adds to the 'Overly Noise Polluted' world 	we Live in, and it's well known that 'Noise Pollution' is a Major cause 	of Stress and Health Issues. Simple Changes make a Big Difference.

~ Wildlife will Thrive along with People.
	Nature & People will be able to Live Together in 'Peace & Harmony', 	how God Intended.

And there's Many, More Wonderful Benefits to Not cutting Your Grass.

So when someone says to You, “The Grass needs cutting”. 
Or if You think to Yourself 'It needs cutting'. 

Just 'Pause' for a moment, and think to Yourself,

“Does Grass actually 'Need' cutting”? 

To Help You to 'Know the Truth', Imagine God 'With You', and Imagine asking Him the question:
“Does Grass 'Need' cutting” ?

     Would God say to You,
“O Yes, the Grass Needs cutting”.

     Or would God say to You,

“Let it Grow, and I'll Show You things You do not Know,
I'll Show You the True Beauty
and Awe Inspiring Wonders of My Creativity”. 

The Only way to find out is to Ask Him. 
He will tell You the Truth.
