During Easter time my Wife made some 'Home Made' hot Cross buns.
These were not ordinary buns though. Instead of following a Standard recipe, my Wife 'Creatively Experimented' with different ingredients.
We had some Home Made mince pie filling left over that my Wife had Made at Christmas (that taste Delicious), so she mixed some of it with Cranberries, Raisins and Chopped Dates. Instead of using 'Refined' White Flour, Butter and 'Refined' White Sugar, my Wife used 'Wholemeal' Flour, Sunflower Oil and Panela (Unrefined Natural Sugar).
My Wife mixed the ingredients together, rolled into buns, left to prove until they'd risen in size and baked them. Instead of piping a Cross on top my Wife left them plain and called them 'Risen Buns' to Celebrate that Jesus Has Risen.
As with All of our Home Baking & Cooking, All of the ingredients were
100% Organic & Natural, just how God 'Intended' food to be.
When the 'Risen Buns' were baked we tried them fresh from the oven. They were some of the most Delicious buns we have ever tried. They were Full of Wonderful Flavours & Textures, and what made it even Better was the knowledge that they had Healthy Ingredients and were actually Good for us.
When we had finished Enjoying them I said,
“you can't buy things as Good as that in the shops”.
They were nothing like the shop bought buns that are usually full of 'cheap' ingredients and packed with Artificial Rubbish to try to 'Trick' your taste buds into thinking they taste nice.
Unfortunately many people Fall for this 'Trickery' and they believe that mass produced shop bought buns (and other foods) taste delicious. My Wife & I fell for it when we were young, but it was only when we started 'Creatively Experimenting' and Baking & Cooking Everything ourselves using Only Organic Natural ingredients that we realised what is Really & Truly Delicious.
You simply can't beat the Way God Created food to be ~ Natural.
When my Wife & I came to eat the last 2 Risen Buns that she had made, we slightly toasted them and sat down together to Enjoy them. We Savoured every mouthful and Enjoyed all the Delicious Flavours & Textures of the Wonderful ingredients.
When we had finished my Wife said
“And the Bread of Life is even Better than that”.
The Bread of Life is Jesus Christ, (John 6:35).
Jesus was Home Made by the Greatest 'Creative Experimenter' of all time, God Himself. Jesus is the most Natural, Organic being that has ever existed. There is Nothing 'artificial' in Him at all.
The Truth is He doesn't need to be 'artificial', He is simply the Best Quality in Every Way. You can't buy Anything in the shops that even comes close to the Quality & Goodness of Jesus, He is 'One of a kind'.
Jesus taught us the Best & most Enjoyable 'Way' to Live our Lives (which can be found in The Bible in Matthew, Mark, Luke & John).
He showed us the Best Ingredients to use in our Lives ~ Love, Peace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Honesty, Kindness, Gentleness & many more, and He showed that when we use these Natural Ingredients, they produce Great Joy.
It's the type of Joy that can't be found in the 'worlds way' of living. The world uses 'cheap quality' ingredients of bitterness, hatred, stubbornness, envy, wants, selfishness etc. and they use 'Artificial & Fake' ways of living to try to cover up these 'cheap & nasty' ingredients. They use Lies & Manipulation to 'Trick' people into Thinking that it's a nice way to live, when the Reality is they are miserable and depressed.
Unfortunately many people Fall for their Trickery and they believe that the 'worlds way' to live is fantastic.
Again my Wife & I fell for it when we were young, but it's only since we made the Decision to Follow Jesus and His Way to Live our Lives, and to Creatively Experiment with all the Wonderful Natural Ingredients that Jesus Provides of Love, Peace, Joy Kindness etc. that we have realised what is Truly the most Wonderful, Happy, Exciting, Fun & Enjoyable Way to Live.
It's a 'Way' of Living that you simply can't buy in the shops. You can't find it on the internet, social media or in celebrity gossip. The TV news channels are supposed to be the most Informative Sources of Information, yet 'they know nothing' compared to the Good News of Jesus that's found in the Greatest News article ever written ~The Bible.
My Wife & I could have spent our entire lives believing that 'shop bought' buns are what buns are supposed to taste like, and we would have 'Missed Out' on the Real & Truly Delicious Goodness of the Risen Buns that my Wife made. Thankfully we were Willing to Try.
We could have also 'wasted' our Full Lives believing that the 'worlds way' to Live is 'as good as it gets', and we would have 'Missed Out' on the Truly Wonderful Way to Live, that 'Only' Jesus can Provide.
We are Truly Grateful that we made the Best Decision of our Lives to 'Stop' following 'worldly ways' and instead to 'Follow Jesus'.
