~ The True Meaning of Following Jesus.  ~

Jesus said Many, Many times, “Follow Me”. 

So it's obviously Very Important.

But what does it actually mean ?

In this Digital Age, the word 'Follow' has been Misused and many people don't really know what it's True Meaning is.

Many people believe that to 'Follow' someone means 'Clicking a Button' on the internet,

There are Millions of people who think they're 'Following' someone by spending Hours scrolling through social media Gossip on FaceApp and WhatsAgram.

Social media and many youtube and internet websites use 'Manipulative Tactics' to get people to Click the 'Follow Button', so that they can then Brag about how many 'So Called' Followers they've got.

But the Truth is, Many people Click the 'Follow Button' and Never go back on it.
It Creates 'Fake Followers'. 

Then there are the people who think they're Following someone by Clicking on Many Different peoples 'Follow Button' and they So Called 'Follow' Multiple people all at the Same Time.

But None of these are the 'True Meaning of Following'. 

And it's Definitely Not what Jesus meant when he said, “Follow Me”. 

~ So What is the True Meaning of 'Following Jesus' ?

Well first of all, it's the most Wonderful, Exciting and Joyful Way of Living Your Life.

And it's the most Natural thing that God Created You to Do.

Your Soul has a Inbuilt Desire & Craving to 'Follow Jesus'. 

But the devil uses Trickery to Deceive You into thinking Your Soul is Desiring & Craving something else.

That's why Many people become Confused about 'How to Live Their Life', and 'Who they Are'. 

People get Misled into Following the 'worlds way', and they Believe that's what they're Supposed to Do.

But God Created You to Follow 'The Way'.

'Jesus is The Way, the Truth and the Life'. (John 14:6). 

So 'Following Jesus' is Your Natural Inbuilt 'Way' to Live.

~ But What does it Mean to 'Follow Jesus' ?

A good way to understand it is to be an 'Apprentice of Jesus'. 

In the workplace there are different ways to Learn the Skills needed for a job.

Some people spend many years in college and university Training in the Skills they need before they Start the job.
Whereas an Apprentice Trains & Learns the Skills needed whilst Doing the job.

When You 'Follow Jesus', You don't need to spend years Training & Learning before You Start 'Following Him'. 

You Simply 'Learn as You Go'.

'Following Jesus' means Living Your Life on a 'Journey With Him'.
And Every Step You take 'With Jesus',
You Learn something New & Exciting about God's Way to Live.

It Truly is 'The Greatest Journey of Your Life'.

A Very Important part of 'Following Jesus' means to, 
'Love the Lord Your God with All Your Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength'. 
(Mark 12:30). 

God's Word makes it clear in (Revelation 3:15-16) that God does Not like 
'Half Hearted' Followers.
You need to Love God with Your 'Whole Heart'. 

Your 'Soul' is the very Essence of 'Who You Are'. 
Following Jesus means 'Loving God' with Your Inner Most Being.

God has given You 'Freedom of Choice', and He Blessed You with an intelligent 'Mind' to make the Right Choices.
You can Love God with All Your 'Mind' by letting Your 'Mind' Reflect God's Wonderful Character and His Amazing Creativity. And Give God All the Glory.

And when You Truly 'Follow Jesus' and Love God with All Your Strength, You will Discover a Powerful Inner 'Strength' that You know is Not Your own.
It can Only come from God.

Following Jesus has Many Wonderful Blessings.

Jesus will Fill You with 'His Joy'. 
The 'Joy of Jesus' is literally 'Indescribable'.  I'm not even going to attempt to put it into words, because there are no words good enough.

Jesus will Fill You with 'His Peace'. 
And You'll Experience the Peace of God which Goes Beyond All Understanding.

  And Jesus will Fill You with a 'Freedom' that You have Never known before.

He 'Forgives' All Your mistakes & wrong doings.
He Removes any guilt or shame, and He Replaces it with His 'Pure Love'. 

Following Jesus is Not just a 'Part Time' thing You Do whenever You feel like it.
Jesus needs You to be 'Whole Heartedly Committed'. 

It's literally a 'Way of Life'. 
And it needs to be 'Only One Way' ~ God's Way.

It's Not the same as social media where people can So Called 'Follow' Lots of people all at the same time.

To 'Follow Jesus' You need to 'Stop' Following the 'worlds way', and 'Stop' Following 'People'.  

And that's Not just on social media. It's in Every Area of Your Life.

You can't Travel in 'Different Directions' at the same time.
You can't Follow 'Different Ways' at the same time.

And the 'worlds way' is in the Opposite Direction' to the Wonderful Life that God has got Planned for You.

The world 'Leads' You to the devil.

Jesus 'Leads' You to God.

The worlds way and God's Way Do Not mix.
So it's Not worth trying to mix them because You will just get Very Confused.

Jesus made it Very Clear that to 'Follow Him' means 'Stopping' whatever it is You are Doing or Being that did Not come from God.

Following Jesus means 'Changing Your Direction'. 

 There are two 'Very Important' reasons why 'Following Jesus' needs to be 'Only One Way' ~ God's Way.

The first is because there is a 'Battle' going on between the devil and God.

God needs 'Reliable People' who are Not going to keep 'Changing Sides'.

He needs People who He can 'Trust' to Do whatever He Guides them to Do, even when they don't Understand Why.
Because God 'Sees' the 'Bigger Picture' that we don't 'See'. 

The second reason is because God has a 'MasterPlan' for 'Life on Earth'. 

And 'Your Life' is Part of God's Plan.

He Created You with a Wonderful Purpose.

You are God's Hands on Earth to Look After & Take Care of His Creations.
You are His Eyes, Ears, & Mouth for Him to Love through.
Your Heart, Mind & Soul are 'Made In His Image'. 
You are God's Creation.

You have a 'Unique Purpose' that You will Only Discover when You 'Choose' 'Only One Way' to Live Your Life ~ God's Way.

The devil will try to 'Lead You Away' from God's Way, because he doesn't want You to Fulfil God's Plan for Your Life.
And he uses Deceitful Trickery to do it.
The devil 'Hides in Disguise', and he uses 'people' to 'Lead You Astray'. 
That's why it's so Important Not to 'Follow' people, because You can never be 100% Certain that it's Not the devil in Disguise.

There's 'Only One Way' to know with 100% Certainty that it's
God's Way that You are 'Following'.
And that is to Only 'Follow' God's Son, Jesus Christ.

     Jesus Is God's Way. 

He's the 'Only One' who knows God's Plan for Your Life.

Jesus will Reveal 'Your Purpose' as You 'Journey With Him'. 
And You will Discover 'Who God Created You To Be'. 

Your Life is Not just about You. You are a Very Important Part of God's MasterPlan. And the 'Way' that You 'Choose' to Live Your Life 'Really Does' have an Impact on God's Plan, either in a negative or a Positive Way, depending on 'Who & What' You 'Choose' to Follow. 

God needs You to Be the 'Very Best' You can Be,
as the Person He Created You to Be.

'Following Jesus' needs to be taken 'Very Seriously', because it's got a Very Important Purpose.

God & Jesus take 'Their Part' Very Seriously.

They Always Give You 'Their Best'.

God doesn't Give You 'Half Hearted' Blessings.
They are Always 'Full & Overflowing' with His Wonderful Love for You.

Jesus Lived His Life on Earth as 'The Best He Could Be'. 

He gave the Perfect Example of 'How to Live Life'. 

And Jesus did something that No other person can Ever Do.
He Took the Punishment on the Cross, so that You can Live a Free & Happy Life, and so You can spend Eternity with Your Loving God.

Surely that's worth Showing Your Gratitude to God & Jesus by 
'Giving Your Absolute Best' to Fulfil 'Your Part' in God's MasterPlan.

When You 'Follow Jesus' with Your 'Whole Heart',
He will Show You 'The Way'. 

Jesus is saying to You, 
“Follow Me”.
